Both indoor pickleball courts at the West Park gymnasium were teeming with players on Thursday night.

Absentee voting will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Voters can pick up their ballots at Circuit Clerk Chris Priest's office on the fourth floor at the Morgan County Courthouse at 302 Lee St. in Decatur. For more information, call Priest's office at 256-351-4723.

A few members of the Lacey’s Spring Senior Center got some exercise watching television on Thursday. Actually they tuned into an exercise training program that had them lifting light weights and doing stretches. From left are Carol Barnett, Dianne Cochrane and Grant Hyde. After the exercises, the trio joined about a dozen members as assistant center manager Debra Valine served a hot lunch.

The Morgan County License Commissioner Offices in the county will be closed beginning at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for a mandatory training session for staff members. License Commissioner Kate Terry apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause and says the offices will resume normal hours on Thursday.
