Kids Heart Challenge is here this week! Our students are learning how to keep their hearts and brains healthy, and raising funds to help kids with special hearts.
We’re asking all families to register and complete Finn’s Mission, where you will learn Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke. All students who register will receive a free wristband. Plus, if 50% of our school’s students register online, we will receive a BONUS $500 to purchase PE equipment!

We are having dress-up days to coincide with lessons regarding a healthy heart!

Monday 4/20: Mix match Day– remember to mix in lots of colorful fruits and vegetables

Tuesday 4/21: Pj's or comfy clothes– Sleep is the secret to feeling awesome!

Wednesday 4/22: Wear your favorite team’s gear or athletic wear– Being active gives you a turbo boost of energy!

Thursday 4/23: Wear your Finn’s Mission cape or wear red- be a superhero and learn how to save lives!

Friday 4/24: School Spirit day– Show your school pride and remember to be kind!

Thank you for supporting our school and students in saving lives!

The American Heart Association offers programs for the classroom and for the gym to get help kids healthy and performing better in school.

Our K-2 students loved checking out an ambulance today for the Touch A Truck portion of DPS College & Career week!

Decatur Public School students had a chance to get up close to vehicles ranging from an 18-wheeler to an ambulance on Thursday during the Touch a Truck event.

Franklin Grove is currently collecting aluminum tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities!

The grade that collects the most in April will win a class party of their choice!

(Franklin Grove is a collection site year round, so keep saving!)
