The monthly meeting of the Morgan County Republican Executive Committee will be Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 at 6:00pm at Libby’s Catfish and Diner.

Guest speakers will be Paul Sanford, candidate for US Congress 5th District and Brent Woodall, candidate for Public Service Commission Place 1.

The Morgan County Republican Executive Committee will be taking applications for anyone interested in a Gubernatorial appointment to fill the vacancy for the Morgan County Commissioner of Licenses position. The current Commissioner, Sharon Maxwell, will be retiring effective January 1. This appointment will complete the term which goes through January 2027.

To be eligible for this appointment, you will need to be at least 18 years old, a registered voter, and have been a resident of Morgan County for at least 1 year prior to the appointment.

The Morgan County Commissioner of Licenses office is responsible for the following:
Application for Alabama Certificates of Title
Automobile License Plate Registrations
Automobile License Plate Renewals
Certain Manufactured Home Registrations
Certain Manufactured Home Renewals
Issuance of Business License’s
Business License Renewals
Issuance of Hunting and Fishing Licenses
Driver’s License Renewals
