[2:23 PM] The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been CANCELLED for all of north Alabama. Please use caution if driving as there are numerous trees down on roadways as well as ponding water.

1128am: HEADS UP! Severe Tstorm Watch until 7pm for all of Northern Alabama! Winds of 60-70mph possible along with hail between quarters and ping pong ball size!

This weekend, Morgan County EMA along with the Alabama Jubilee, City of Decatur, Decatur Police Dept., Decatur Fire & Rescue, Decatur Morgan EMS, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Morgan County Rescue Squad, and NWS Huntsville will be at Point Mallard Park in support of the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic. We will be providing communication support/equipment, weather monitoring, and public alerting.

We are thankful to be able to work with such wonderful and professional partners to keep this event informed, safe, and running as it should. We hope those who come out and brave the rain have a wonderful weekend! Happy Jubilee!
