On May 29th at approximately 10:14am, Engine 25 and Tanker 27 were dispatched to Wann, Ok area to assist Wann FD for a fully involved trailer house fire.

There were multiple agencies that responded to assist.

On 4-12-26, Engine 25 responded to an electric pole on fire southwest of Dearing, KS. Upon arrival E25 located a pole actively burning.

Evergy was contacted and responded a truck. They were able to disconnect the power and use a fire extinguisher and a water canister off E25 to successfully put the fire out. Evergy said they would be replacing the pole. The cause is suspected to either be the tree branches hitting the lines.

Chief Jarrod Powers and everyone at the Dearing Fire Department want to wish our amazing community a Happy Easter!

We hope your day is filled with family, laughter, great food, and just the right amount of competitive Easter egg hunting 🥚 (we’ve seen some of you… it gets serious out there).

Remember—if you can’t find all the eggs, don’t worry… we’re trained in search and rescue 😄

Stay safe, enjoy the day, and maybe save a Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg for your local firefighters… for “emergency purposes,” of course.

On 4-2-26 at approximately 12:35pm Dearing Truck 21 along with Coffeyville Fire Department, Coffeyville Police Department, Montgomery County S.O. KS
Kansas Highway Patrol - Troop H and Coffeyville Regional Medical Center EMS, responded to Eldridge and County Road 4700 (Buckeye) for an occupied vehicle stuck in flood waters.

Upon arrival members of Coffeyville FD’s swift water rescue team entered the water and safely escorted the subject to dry ground.

After that call was completed, at 1:08pm, Truck 21 and Brush 23 responded to a small grass fire located on County Road 2000 east of Dearing, KS. It appeared that during the overnight storms an electric pole was struck by lightning and part of the smoldering embers fell to the ditch and started the dead grass on fire. Thank you to Coffeyville Electric Department for coming out and fixing the pole!
