Dear Friends,
In couple of days, the Senate will start voting on the FY 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which will include many issues. As part of this legislation act, we are asking to include and vote “Yes” to Section 1273 of the House-passed bill in any final legislation. Section 1273 is related to adapting evacuation strategy process of U.S citizens and Nationals from Yemen. This amendment offers hope for all Yemeni-Americans at home and abroad.
Below are tow images showing the NDAA Conference Whip list who voted “Yes” or “No” to 1273 proposal. We urge you to contact the ones who voted “No” and try to explain how hostilities in Yemen is worsening every day and the hardships that U.S citizens and their families have to go through every day with no help from anywhere. On the other hand, please extend your thanks to the ones who understand the situation in Yemen and show your appreciation for what they have done for us.
Finally, we would like to deeply THANK Congress women Debbie Dingell & Congress man John Conyers for adapting this and pushing for it from all aspects.
