Meet Kristopher Krajewski, a teacher at Riverside Middle School who proved that every reader has a voice. Last year, Kristopher led a complete novel study of The Giver with students who might not typically engage with a full-length book. By holding high expectations and providing the right structure, he watched students who typically find ELA challenging become the ones driving the discussion. This is what happens when we trust our learners and give them room to rise.

Due to today’s high heat index, all outdoor athletic practices and contests are canceled, with the exception of JV Football vs. Dearborn. The JV football game will continue as scheduled.

Coaches will communicate directly with their teams regarding sport-specific plans and any additional information.

Ready to hit the court and represent Riverside? Volleyball tryouts will take place after school on Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1.

All students must have a current MHSAA sports physical on file in order to try out.

🏃‍♀️🏃 Riverside Cross Country sign ups are here! 💚🖤

All 6th through 8th grade Ravens are welcome to join! No tryouts required! Whether you’re an experienced runner or just looking to try something new, cross country is a great way to build endurance, confidence, teamwork, and new friendships.

📋 Sign up during your lunch!

What you need:
• A current physical on file. Physical forms are available in the main office.
• Running shoes and gym attire
• Commitment, dedication, and a good attitude!

📅 Practice: Monday through Thursday, 3:15 to 4:15 PM
🏃 Season: August through October
⭐ First Practice: Monday, August 31

For the first practice, be in the Health Room by 3:15 PM, dressed and ready to run with a full water bottle.
