At Acceptional Minds LLC, we love celebrating the good and that’s where our Becky Bucks come in!

Becky Bucks = “caught being good”

They are earned when our clients show expected behaviors like kindness, responsibility, teamwork, trying something new, or helping others.

Why is this important? Because negative attention is often more consistent than positive attention in everyday life. We want to flip that. We intentionally notice and reinforce the positive so our clients feel proud, confident, and motivated to keep making great choices.

Here’s how it works:
~When a client earns a Becky Buck, it’s read to them right in that moment so they clearly understand what they did well.
~When they receive enough and turn them in, Becky reads all of their Becky Bucks with them again—celebrating their success and reinforcing those positive behaviors.
~The client can choose from a variety of rewards, but the most common choice is a lunch out with a staff member!
~Then we send the Becky Bucks home and encourage families to read them together.

This means our clients are being praised for their positive behaviors not just here, but at home too which helps those skills carry across environments and into everyday life.

A little peek at our Middle Ages fun from this past week.

The kids had a blast “jousting” with pool noodles and showing off their knight skills. It was such a fun week filled with laughter, creativity, and lots of imagination.

We love seeing everyone jump in and have fun together.
