We use a valve turning trailer (or valve maintenance trailer) to safely, quickly, and automatically exercise heavy municipal water valves. Turning underground water valves by hand can cause severe physical strain and joint injury over time, while motorized trailers use high-torque mechanical arms to do the heavy lifting.
Prevent Injury: Eliminate the back-breaking, repetitive physical strain of manual valve turning for utility crews.
Exercise and Rehabilitate Valves: Break away rust, mineral buildup (tuberculation), and sediment by safely cycling valves back and forth, preventing them from seizing up.
Ensure Emergency Access: Clear dirt and debris from valve operating nuts and valve boxes.
Data Logging and GPS Mapping: Record precise valve turns, torque data, operating direction, and GPS coordinates via integrated controllers to update municipal GIS infrastructure maps.
Minimize Water Loss: Ensure water main valves can fully seal shut during emergency repairs or main breaks, reducing unnecessary water loss.
