Lawrence Fire Department Lawrence Fire Department serves the residents of the Town of Lawrence.

Lawrence Fire Department is located in southwest Brown County, Wisconsin and runs from the DePere city limits to the county line. Our 27 volunteer/paid per call members provide fire/rescue, medical first responder, fire prevention, and fire inspections services from it's two fire stations. We also participate in auto aid with surrounding departments and provide mutual aid to all area departments as a member of MABAS Division 112.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, especially the fathers serving on our department.
Years ago, it was very common for volunteer fire departments to have strong family ties, with grandfathers, fathers, and sons all serving together. As our community has grown and changed, with fewer family farms and family-run businesses, those multi-generational connections have become less common.
We are fortunate, however, to still have three father-son combinations serving on the Lawrence Fire Department: Andy and Nate, Bill and Tyler, and Craig and Jacob.
It’s always great to see them working side-by-side on calls, training together, and carrying on the tradition of service to our community. Thank you to all the fathers who set an example through their dedication, leadership, and commitment both at home and in the fire service.

Attention Residents of Orions Run Subdivision

Road Construction: June 11-12, 2026 (weather permitting)

With work being completed in the field behind homes on Andromeda, the Town will be completing a sewer tie-in this week (weather permitting).

Crews will be working on the manhole covers in the first section of Pisces Place. During this time, the roadway will be reduced to one lane. Work will include removal of asphalt around the manholes and completion of the sewer tie-in.

Once the work is finished, the area will be backfilled with gravel and later restored with asphalt.

Please use caution when traveling through the area and be aware of crews working and loose gravel conditions.

Recycling facilities, landfills, garbage trucks and other parts of the waste and recycling industry in Wisconsin are experiencing frequent and sometimes devastating fires.

While it can be hard to determine the cause of each fire, studies have shown rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are often to blame. If damaged by equipment in waste trucks or facilities, these batteries can spark or produce enough heat to ignite surrounding materials. This photo shows the aftermath of recyclables catching fire in a city of Madison recycling truck. These fires put workers and firefighters at risk, in addition to causing millions of dollars in damage.

You can help prevent fires like these:
– Never put batteries or electronics in your recycling bin or cart.
– Take rechargeable batteries to a recycling drop-off site, like a hardware store or local recycling center.
– Recycle your electronics through E-Cycle Wisconsin. Many sites accept electronics like laptops and cellphones for free.

It’s always great seeing a truck in service with the firefighters it was built for!

This week, our team traveled to Lawrence Fire Department to work alongside their dedicated crew for hands-on training and apparatus configuration on their recent delivery - helping ensure both truck and crew are ready for the calls ahead.
