This evening we trained on setting up and drafting water from portable tanks. The rain wasn’t exactly cooperating with us, but fires and emergencies don’t only happen in fair weather, so we might as well train in the weather we experience from time to time.

We greatly appreciate all of our volunteers who take time out of their evenings to train, learn, and work toward becoming better and more effective firefighters for our community!

Proceeds will go towards purchasing a trailer to transport our gator for off road rescue operations and wildland fire extinguishment.

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Ken Lemmon and the Rosewood and Quincy Miami Twp Fire Departments. Ken was a dedicated Firefighter and EMT with Rosewood Fire Department, Quincy Miami Twp Fire and EMS as well as Riverside EMS for many years. He’s saved countless lives, taught CPR to countless individuals and always helped out whenever he could. He was truly a caring person with a big heart and will be forever missed. Rest Easy Ken. Your work here is done. We’ll take it from here brother!

We would like to thank everyone who attended our breakfast last weekend. We greatly appreciate the communities support!!! Also we were able to reach our goal for proceeds to outfit our John Deere gator with a water tank and pump for grass and field fires and also outfit it for patient rescues in hard to reach areas that bigger vehicles cannot reach! More pictures will be coming soon once it is finished!!! We again are grateful to serve this community and greatly appreciate our community!!

March 1st, Ohio’s seasonal burn ban goes into effect.
March 1 – May 31
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily
• No burning brush
• No burning leaves or yard waste
• No trash burning
• No open fires

Spring conditions make fires spread quickly — even a small spark can turn into a serious wildfire. Let’s do our part as a community to protect our homes, farms, woods, and first responders.

If you have any questions or complaints contact the Ohio State Fire Marshal as this is a state ban not a department or county ban.
