Rescue and Engine 44 responded this morning.
Our firefighters from both stations were busy overnight responding to multiple storm-related incidents, including motor vehicle accidents, downed wires, and a residential dwelling fire in the Township.
Just prior to 5:00 a.m., units were dispatched to the area of Mount Alverno Road and Harvard Drive for reports of fire showing from the roof of a home. Crews were already in the area returning from a previous accident on Route 352 and quickly located the fire in the 300 block of Mount Alverno Road.
Thanks to the quick response and coordinated efforts of all companies on scene, the fire was brought under control without any reported injuries. Units remained on location for just over two hours handling firefighting and overhaul operations.
