A little before 1:00 pm this afternoon, when resources were limited, we were paged to a structure fire. HUGE thanks to Flatwoods VFD, Caddo Fire District #4, DeSoto Parish Fire District #2, and Community Four VFD for the assistance in manpower and water!!! I appreciate each of you who showed up to help out.

Inter Community, with the assistance of Community Four and Flatwoods VFD, were dispatched to a reported explosion earlier this afternoon. Upon arrival we located an exposed 16” gas pipeline which had ruptured. Residents were advised to evacuate and gas officials were notified. Thankfully there was no major property damage and everyone around was safe. A special thanks to the Panola County Sheriff’s office, the Fire Marshall, and a number of dedicated oil and gas personnel for helping to get this under control.

Yes, we did get some rain this past weekend, but not enough to lift the burn ban! The burn ban is still in effect, so no open flames outdoors!! 🔥🔥

Christmas 2025 is a wrap for us here at ICVFD. We are so very blessed to have such an amazing team. We were short a few members but we mananged and honored those who help us so much.

We also had a changing of the guard so to speak within our officer ranks. Our chief Scott Yarnell will be staying on the department but has decided to let a new generation take the reins. As of tonight your new officers are:
