In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed on Friday, June 19. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and is a time to reflect on freedom, equality, and progress.

Drowning can happen quickly and quietly.

Designate a responsible "Water Watcher" whenever children are near water.
Stay within arm's reach of infants and toddlers.
Put phones away and avoid distractions.
Consider swim lessons for children when age appropriate.

Active supervision is the best protection.

✅ Keep hot foods, drinks, and cookware out of reach
✅ Use back burners and turn pot handles inward
✅ Store cleaning products and sharp objects in locked cabinets
✅ Secure appliances and keep cords away from edges
✅ Never hold your baby while cooking over a hot stove
✅ Create a child-free zone around cooking areas

Children 18 and under can receive free breakfast and lunch at nearly 60 locations across Volusia County through a federally funded summer meals program running from June 1 through Aug. 7. There are no income restrictions, and parents do not need to apply or register their children to receive meals.
Meals will be served Monday through Friday unless otherwise indicated. All sites will be closed on July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

🥗 Volusia County is offering free summer meals for kids!

Children 18 and under can receive free breakfast and lunch at nearly 60 locations across Volusia County through a federally funded summer meals program running from June 1 through Aug. 7. There are no income restrictions, and parents do not need to apply or register their children to receive meals.
