๐ŸŒง๏ธ FLOODED ROADS? TURN AROUND.

Heavy rain can cause roadways to flood quickly, and what looks like a few inches of standing water can be much deeper than it appears.

๐Ÿš— Weโ€™re seeing drivers damage their vehicles by attempting to drive through flooded roadways.

Please:
๐Ÿšซ Donโ€™t drive through standing or moving water.
โ†ฉ๏ธ Turn around and find another route.
โš ๏ธ Never assume you can make it through just because another vehicle did.
๐Ÿ›‘ If barricades are in place, do not drive around them.

Your vehicle can be replaced. Your safety canโ€™t.

The US National Weather Service Melbourne Florida expects the Heat Risk to continue for the rest of the week into the weekend.

We ask the community to practice heat safety by staying hydrated and limiting outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day. If you have to be outside, drink water frequently and take breaks in the shade when possible. Most importantly, never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle โ€“ even for a moment.

June 1 marks the official start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, and now is the time to make sure you and your family are prepared.

Preparedness is a year-round responsibility, but taking action today can make all the difference tomorrow. The best time to prepare is before a storm threatens our area.
Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay safe.
