Dayton VA Medical Center Fisher House

The Dayton VA Medical Center Fisher House provides a home away from home for families of patients receiving medical care at the Dayton VA Medical Center.

The Dayton VA Medical Center Fisher House opened its doors for guests in October 2018. The Fisher House is a place where loved ones of Veterans can stay when a Veteran is receiving care at the Dayton VA Medical Center or is receiving community care approved by VHA. The Dayton VAMC Fisher House has 16 private guestrooms/bathrooms, and common area kitchen, family room, living room, dining room and l

aundry facilities that guests have access to. A Fisher House has many of the same comforts of home and allows loved ones to be near the Veteran, when a Veteran is hospitalized, receiving Hospice care or when the Veteran is receiving extended outpatient treatment (i.e.: chemotherapy and radiation therapy). Guests are able to stay the entire duration of the Veterans care with the approval from the Veteran’s treatment team. Eligible guests must be traveling a long distance (i.e. 30+ miles) and meet other eligibility requirements. For more information please call the Fisher House at (937) 267-3900.
