ENDANGERED CHILD ALERT: We need your help to find Ayden Jules, who is missing from Hamilton County.

The 15-year-old is 5'8", 100 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes, last seen Saturday in the Sale Creek area wearing a black tank top with blue button-up shirt and grey jogging pants.

He is believed to be on foot and is verbal-avoidant.

🚨🚨 STOP! DON’T PAY! THIS COULD BE A JURY DUTY SCAM! 🚨🚨

📞 If someone calls you claiming you missed jury duty and says you need to pay money to avoid arrest — HANG UP!

NEITHER THE CIRCUIT COURT CLERK’S OFFICE OR THE SHERIFFS OFFICE WILL EVER CALL YOU AND DEMAND MONEY BECAUSE YOU MISSED JURY DUTY.

Scammers may try to scare you by saying there is a warrant for your arrest, that you owe a fine, or that you need to pay immediately to avoid being arrested. DON’T PANIC AND DON’T PAY!

❌ Do NOT give them your credit/debit card information.
❌ Do NOT send money.
❌ Do NOT purchase gift cards.
❌ Do NOT provide personal information.

If you receive a suspicious call about jury duty, hang up and contact the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office directly to verify the information.

Please SHARE this post with your family, friends, and especially anyone who may be vulnerable to these types of scams.

PUBLIC NOTICE – POLICE TRAINING EXERCISE
The Dayton Police Department will be conducting a training exercise at Dayton City School beginning at 8:00 PM.

During this training, residents may notice:
Increased police presence
Emergency vehicles with lights activated
Officers entering and exiting the school
Loud noises or simulated emergency activity

This is only a training exercise. There is no threat to the public or the school.

These realistic training scenarios are an important part of ensuring our officers are prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and keep our community safe.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to train for the safety of our students, staff, and community.

🚨 Traffic Alert 🚨

Motorists are advised to use caution on U.S. Highway 27 Southbound between the Highway 60 intersection and the McDonald's intersection due to gravel spilled across the roadway.

🚔 Traffic is currently being diverted while crews work to clear the area.

Please slow down, follow the directions of law enforcement and traffic control personnel, and consider using an alternate route if possible.

Tonight the Dayton Police Department along with the Rhea County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Tennessee Highway Safety Office’s TN/GA Hands Across the Border Event. The event hosted over 150 officers from multiple agencies. We are always happy to partner with other departments in our region to help keep our roads safe.

We enjoyed spending time with families during the Tennessee Strawberry Festival this past weekend, handing out balloons and discussing safety throughout the event. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the tent and helped make it a great success! 👮🍓

These convictions show the teamwork and dedication from our officers and the prosecutors with Office of Courtney Lynch, District Attorney General, 12th Judicial District. Investigator Ewton was the lead investigator, but this was a team effort involving several officers and partner agencies.
