Efforts to update the master plan for the Dayton Mall area and its more than 400 surrounding businesses have started with a goal of transforming it into ”a vibrant, walkable and mixed-use town center."

“The updated plan will build upon the foundation of the 2015 Master Plan, carrying forward its core vision statements while addressing current market forces and future trends,” organizers of the Miami Crossing Joint Economic Development District said in a release.

Input from anyone who lives, works, owns property in or shops in the area is considered “critically important to the plan’s success,” he said.
