Ja’Farris’ Club story has come full circle. 🙌

After growing up as a Club member himself, Ja’Farris has spent the past 10 years pouring back into the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton as a staff member, mentor, and role model for our young people.

Now, he is excited for what the future holds. Our new Club will allow us to provide an even greater level of learning, mentorship, and growth — including a dedicated Teen Center where teens can build life skills, prepare for adulthood, and have a space of their own to dream, lead, and thrive.

Thanks to the Mathile Family Foundation’s $500,000 matching gift, your support can go twice as far. Join Ja’Farris in helping provide the next generation of Dayton leaders with the opportunities, tools, and spaces they need to succeed.

What a special day at the ballpark! ⚾️

Our Club members had the incredible opportunity to participate in the first-ever AES Ohio Kids Baseball Clinic, hosted in partnership with the Dayton Dragons.

From learning baseball fundamentals alongside Dragons players and coaching staff to building confidence and making memories on the field, our Club members experienced a day they will never forget.

Thank you to AES Ohio, AES Ohio Foundation and Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball Team for investing in our young people and creating meaningful opportunities that inspire brighter futures.

Today’s summer camp fun included colorful paint, creative designs, and lots of proud smiles as our members painted their very own rocks. We love watching their imaginations shine at the Club! 🎨💙

Our Workforce Development Camp is underway!

A big thank you to Premier Health for welcoming our teen Club members and giving them an inside look at the many career paths that exist within hospital walls. From food & nutrition to environmental services, patient transport, and beyond, Club members had a chance to ask questions and explore various pathways to success.

Experiences like this open doors for our youth and help them see their future is full of possibility. We are grateful for partners who invest their time, share their knowledge, and inspire our Club members to dream bigger about their future after high school.

The Boys & Girls Club movement recently experienced a profound loss with the passing of a dedicated leader, advocate, and champion for young people. We join our colleagues at the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County in honoring the life and legacy of Michael Johnson and extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, Club members, and teammates during this difficult time.

Summer camp at the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton is in full swing!

From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each weekday, Boys & Girls Club of Dayton Summer Camp provides young people with a safe place to spend their summer learning, exploring, and simply being kids. While school may be out, learning continues through hands-on STEM experiences, academic enrichment, and activities designed to keep youth engaged and prevent summer learning loss.

Through Summer Camp programming focused on Academic Recovery & Success, Health & Well-Being, Character & Leadership, and Life & Workforce Readiness, youth and teens build critical skills, explore future career pathways, and discover new interests. Along the way, they also enjoy field trips, develop meaningful friendships, create lasting memories, and experience the joy of summer in a place where they are encouraged to reach their full potential.

An anonymous donor is generously matching donations for Club programming, up to $250,000! We ask you to join us and support our From Here, Forward campaign, so that together we can provide our young people the resources they need to pursue their dreams.
