Auglaize, Darke, Greene, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble & Shelby Counties Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley is a non-profit social service agency serving Montgomery, Greene, Preble, Miami, Shelby, Mercer, Darke and Auglaize counties, with limited services also offered in Champaign, Logan and Clark Counties. We provide a continuum of services for children, teens, adults, families, seniors and people of all faiths. Programs of CSSMV build families and help empower individuals through actions of faith, service and charity.

In Montgomery County, 1 in 6 individuals and 1 in 4 children face food insecurity. Behind these numbers are our neighbors, friends, coworkers and classmates- people who may not always have reliable access to the food they need to thrive.

Throughout the month, we invite you to learn more about hunger, share available resources and discover ways you can be part of the solution.
Montgomery County, Ohio, the Montgomery County Food Equity Coalition and Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley are committed to going beyond awareness. Together, we are working to address the barriers and conditions that contribute to hunger and build a stronger, more equitable food system where everyone has access to nutritious food.

As many of us rest on Labor Day, let us also be grateful for those whose work makes our lives easier and more comfortable. We must always advocate, act and pray for fair, humane working conditions that respect the dignity of workers and allow for full human flourishing.

Please note that our offices, including our choice food pantry will be closed today (9/7/2026). We will resume normal operating hours tomorrow morning (9/8/2026).

We have been blessed by BOGG Ministries in Miamisburg. They responded to our social media post needing grocery bags. After being blessed with an abundance of bags, they wanted to bless us too. They gave us 130 boxes of bags that contain 1,500 bags in each box totaling up to 195,000 bags!
May God continue to bless BOGG Ministries and our CSSMV community.
