I just noticed again an advertisement usingthe term "Medal of Honor winners"
Recipients of the Medal of Honor are not considered 'winners'; they are courageous individuals who have been recognized for their remarkable actions in combat. Let us ensure our language does justice to their sacrifices by using appropriate terminology.
Some medals are given for skill, and they are indeed 'won'. Let us not conflate the two.
