It’s a perfect night for some family fun at Elsie Stephens Park from 5-8p!

Come test your ninja skills on the Ninja Anywhere Course, bounce your energy out on the inflatables, grab dinner from the food trucks, cool off with some ice cream, and get ready to sing and dance with the Teddy Bear Band starting at 6 p.m.! 🎶🐻

Emerald Ash Borer Update!🌳

Emerald ash borer (EAB) continues to spread across Minnesota, with infestations now confirmed in 60 counties. New detections in 2026 include Todd County and communities in Aitkin, Kandiyohi, McLeod, Pine, and Stearns counties.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has quarantines in place to help slow the spread of this tree-killing insect. Please avoid moving firewood and report suspected infestations

The Drinking Water Report is a water quality report that provides information about the quality of drinking water. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires every community water supplier to provide a CCR to its customers.

The latest Drinking Water Report for City of Dayton is now available. You can request a paper copy of the report by calling Public Works at (763)427-3224. If you have questions on the water report please contact Martin Farrell, Public Works Director at [email protected]

Hey Dayton! 👋

Summer generates an increase in water usage which is primarily due to lawn irrigation. To maintain a healthy lawn it takes approximately 1 inch of water per week during the summer, which equates to resetting the irrigation system to run 3 times a week for 20 minutes per zone.

To reduce peak water usage in areas served by the municipal water system, the City of Dayton implemented odd-even irrigation restrictions, pursuant to City Code Chapter 52.057. Prohibited hours for irrigation are between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Homeowners and businesses with addresses ending in an odd number, may water on odd numbered calendar days. Those with addresses ending in an even number, may water on even numbered days.
