We are proud to recognize several Dawson County Schools leaders for representing our district at the Pioneer RESA Summer Leadership Conference and sharing innovative practices that support student success and continuous improvement.
Riverview Elementary School Principal, Mrs. Tasha Hamil, Assistant Principal, Dr. Lauren Stephenson, and Counselor, Mr. Jeremy Lavender, presented on their student, staff, family, and community engagement. Their highlights on Riverview's SPARK and silent disco activities were well received by the attendees.
Dawson County High School Principal, Mrs. Michael Negley, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Charles Beusse, presented The Den: A Data Room Alternative Focusing on the Whole Child, highlighting an innovative approach to using student data while keeping the focus on the academic, social, and emotional needs of every student.
Dawson County Junior High School Principal, Mrs. Dessica Pritchett, and Assistant Principal, Mrs. Lori Sandovall, presented Sustaining Professional Learning Communities, sharing strategies for building and maintaining collaborative cultures that promote continuous growth, student achievement, and professional excellence.
Their presentations showcased the outstanding leadership, creativity, and commitment to student-centered practices that are hallmarks of Dawson County Schools. By sharing their expertise and experiences, these leaders helped inspire educators from across the region while highlighting the innovative work taking place in our schools every day.
