The Parks and Community Services Department mission is to be stewards of memories through engaging recreational programs, community connection and parks that promote relaxation and play. We provide a wide variety of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages, including aquatics, alternative recreation for persons with disabilities, community events, gymnastics and dance programs, outdoor education, specialty camps, special interest classes, teen services, senior services, youth and adult sports, and the rental management of community facilities, athletic fields, parks and picnic areas. Parks & Community Services also manages the operation of the Davis Community Transit and Child Care Services, which provides information and services relating to child care providers and parenting skills throughout Yolo County.

This is your chance to showcase and sell your handmade crafts, jewelry, artwork, decorations and other creative creations just in time for holiday shopping

Join us at Manor Pool this weekend, September 5-7, for the last days of Rec Swim in 2026

Saturday and Sunday: 1 PM - 6 PM
Monday: 1 PM - 5 PM

Natalie’s Corner Splashpad remains open until 7 PM on September 30. Lap swim and water aerobics will continue throughout the Fall 2026 season 🏊‍♂️

This August, our Ad Rec participants got to enjoy a Sacramento River Cats game at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento and a luau party as some of their monthly activities

The Parks and Community Services Adaptive Recreation Program offers teens and adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) opportunities to participate in group activities throughout the month, including outings, game nights, sporting events, hikes, concerts, and more!

School is back in session for everyone’s furry friends! 🐶

Dog training classes through the City of Davis start up on Monday, September 14, at Central Park! Puppy classes are available for dogs 3-10 months old, and basic manners classes are for dogs 6 months and older. Human participation is required 🦮🧍‍♀️
