In 1972, Broward College‘s Institute of Public Safety (IPS) was established. Forty years later, the proof of IPS’s achievements as a respected training center is clearly visible in the quality of the public servants that serve the State of Florida today. Academies are certified as an FDLE/CJSTC Training Center and offer basic training and continuing education f

or criminal justice officers. Associate at IPS include Criminal Justice, Crime Scene and Fire Science Technology. IPS is also home to Army and Air Force ROTC offerings. Within our multi-million dollar facility are virtual and realistic training venues for educational and professional development. Online classes, comprehensive hands-on instruction and state-of-the-art training from instructors with practical experience provide an innovative, quality workforce education for all.
