Our Board of Commissioners’ decision to remove fluoride from our drinking water is being highlighted statewide by North Carolina Democrats in their weekly content package. Counties around the state will have the opportunity to post this graphic with a clear message: Fluoride prevents cavities. It’s safe, it’s proven, it works. Davie County just showed why local races matter as much as any other.

In light of the Board of Commissioners’ decision Monday, August 3rd to discontinue the addition of fluoride in our drinking water starting September 1st, and determination to waste $4.3m in our budget on Flock cameras in our neighborhoods, The Davie County Democrats feel it is necessary to issue a public statement.
