After 9/11, countless people stepped forward to serve when their communities needed them most.
Salvation Army officers worked long hours providing food and water, while neighbors showed up simply because their neighbors needed help. They were among the many unsung heroes who helped bring comfort and hope in the aftermath of tragedy.
Twenty-five years later, their example reminds us of the power of simply showing up for others.
Today, we remember the lives lost, honor those who served, and carry forward that same spirit of compassion and service.
