Whew! I don't know about you, Friends, but I'm glad it's Monday! I love coming back into the office to see my staff after a weekend away. Last week was a very busy week! I spent last Tuesday with some of my friends learning all about some specific equipment used to detect radiation. I was able to efficiently and effectively supervise some friends as they put the equipment together! It was pretty tiring to supervise, but I had a really fun day!

This was an especially busy week at Scott County IA Emergency Management Agency! After meeting so many new friends at the Be Ready QC: Emergency Resource Fair, I decided that I needed to supervise the instructors from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX as they presented "Support that Saves: A Guide to Building and Sustaining Peer Support." This class brought a lot of new friends into my Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and I am positive that all of my new friends have learned some fascinating new things. One's mental health is so important, and I'm so happy that this class brought so many people together for a great cause!
