Celebrate America’s 250th birthday in Davenport at the Lewis Mathews Sports Complex on Saturday, July 4. This year’s celebration features a ribbon cutting for our brand-new, state-of-the-art sports complex, live music from the Josh Blevins Band, food vendors, a kid zone, and the largest fireworks display in Polk County to close out the night.

Come spend the evening with your neighbors and celebrate together in the heart of our community.

Behind every cleared scene is a lot of hard work. Our crews stay on-site long after the initial call to safely clear wreckage, manage hazards, and ensure the roadway is safe for the rest of our community to travel.

We pause to remember the brave heroes who gave everything to protect our freedom, and we extend our deepest gratitude to the families they left behind. We carry the memory of those fallen heroes with us in everything we do.

Our Fire Department team was proud to team up with Polk County Fire Rescue today for some community outreach! We were out meeting residents and handing out educational pamphlets packed with essential tips on child pool and water safety.

As the warmer weather kicks in, we love having the opportunity to connect with you and share resources to help keep our community's little ones safe all summer long.

While our community was fortunate to avoid a major hurricane in Davenport last year, we know that seasonal patterns can change quickly. It is always better to be prepared well in advance rather than reacting when a storm is on the horizon.

Join us at the Tom Fellows Event Center tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, from 5 PM to 8 PM for our Hurricane Preparedness Expo.

We will have speakers, vendors, refreshments, and essential resources to help you protect your home and family. The first 50 attendees will receive a bucket of hurricane supplies, so we encourage you to arrive early and take advantage of this free community event.
