Spring migration is one of Dauphin Island’s most important seasons, drawing birders from across the country and supporting our local economy in a meaningful way. Just as important, it highlights the balance between commerce and nature that makes Dauphin Island a thriving community.

We invite you to be part of it.

Warblers & Wine is a casual gathering designed to connect our community with the impact of birding on the island. Enjoy refreshments and hors d’oeuvres while learning about the migratory birds that make Dauphin Island a world-class destination.

Help us decide! We have been listening and we are working to expand our Brunch to a second day of the week. While we don't want to move our Buttermilk Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast away from Thursdays, we are open to the other days of the week. Let us know what day you would like to see them served.

Mardi Gras is wrapping up and many of us are preparing for spring break. It is important to remember the Sales Tax Holiday for Mobile County to help gather items needed for severe weather prep.

As the beads come down and king cake disappears, Mobile County Commission encourages residents to shift from Mardi Gras festivities to practical preparedness during Alabama’s Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday, held the last full weekend in February. This year, the tax-free weekend begins 12:01 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, and ends 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026.
