You may have noticed our flag is at half staff. Today, a few members of the department will be traveling to pay their respects to Firefighter/EMT Justin Hurd, from Fountain County.

Our flag will remain at half staff through the end of next week in observance of Memorial Day, honoring all the brave men and women who have given their lives for our country.

Our hearts go out to the friends and family of this young man, as well as the communities he served so selflessly. Godspeed.

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of one of our own. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of such a great soul. We will take it from here. Rest Easy Justin.
