The City of Darlington would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped with the cleanup efforts following the recent storm.

From residents clearing debris from streets and sidewalks, to volunteers lending a helping hand to neighbors, to our Public Works crews, emergency responders, utility workers, and local organizations, your hard work and dedication made a tremendous difference during a challenging time.

The storm left behind significant damage, but it also highlighted the strength, resilience, and generosity of our community. The willingness of so many people to step forward, work together, and support one another is a true reflection of what makes our city special.

Thank you for your time, effort, patience, and community spirit. Your contributions helped restore our neighborhoods, ensure public safety, and assist those most affected by the storm.

We are proud to be part of such a caring and committed community!

***POOL/SPLASH PAD OPENING DELAYED***

The opening date of the pool and new splash pad is being delayed while construction is being wrapped up on the splash pad. The new scheduled opening date for the pool will be Monday, June 15th. The opening date for the splash pad is TBD. We will have an update as soon as we know that the splash pad is ready to go.

Reminder: The City of Darlington Municipal Building will be closed today, May 25, 2026.

Memorial Day is not just a long weekend or the start of summer — it's a solemn day of reflection and gratitude. It's a time to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication have made it possible for us to live in freedom.

To the families who carry the weight of that sacrifice every day, we remember with you. We grieve with you. And we thank you — deeply and sincerely.

In honor of Memorial Day, we will be closed as we take time to remember and reflect on the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Today, we pause not only to enjoy time with loved ones but to honor those who served our country with courage and selflessness. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We wish everyone a safe, meaningful, and peaceful Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Thank you for your continued support.

After 16 years of dedicated service, we celebrate Al Hinderman's career with the City of Darlington. The City of Darlington would like to thank Al for his many years of service and the wonderful memories he leaves behind. ***Lifeguards Wanted***

Anyone that is still interested in becoming a lifeguard this summer, we still have openings available. Anyone interested can fill out the summer employment application on the city website. www.darlingtonwi.org

The lifeguard certification course will be offered at the pool before the season begins. You must be at least 15 years old to apply.

***T-Ball and Coach Pitch Registration***
Registration is now open for the T-Ball and Coach Pitch programs. The programs will begin on Monday, June 8th. For the first week, we will meet on Monday, June 8th, Wednesday, June 10th and Friday, June 12th at the following times:

T-Ball Players (Grades 4K, Kindergarten, 1st) - 9:30 am to 10:30 am
Coach Pitch Players (Grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th) - 10:30 am to 11:30 am

The grade referenced is the grade just completed.

Men's Softball League meeting will be on Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00 pm in the Darlington Municipal Building Senior Center to discuss the upcoming season. League plays on Tuesday nights.
