The road is open. Please drive with caution, as utility contractor's are working in the area.

Shenango Road is currently closed from Laurel Drive to Park Road due to downed Altell and Penn power lines. Utility companies have been contacted.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice.

Ashwood Road has been reopened.

📢 Ashwood Road Closure Update

A tree is currently down on Ashwood, and a utility line is involved, which is contributing to the delay in clearing the roadway. We have reached out to PennDOT for an update on when the situation will be resolved.

We’ll share more information as soon as we receive it.

📢 Meeting Update for June 2

With Switch announcing a Town Hall meeting on June 2, the Borough will cancel the June 2 Workshop meeting.

We encourage all residents to attend the Town Hall to hear information and get your questions answered directly from Switch.

Switch, the company proposing the construction of a data center in our borough, will be holding a public Town Hall meeting at our Fire Hall on Tuesday, June 2nd at 6:00 PM

Please note that Switch is not affiliated with our Fire Company. They are simply renting our facility as a local venue to provide information and answer questions from residents regarding the proposed project.

⚠️ Planned Power Outage Notice – Big Beaver Area

First Energy has notified us of a planned outage to allow crews to transfer and work the lines for the new West Chippewa Substation. The current Chippewa Substation will be taken offline twice—once on the dates below, and again in approximately 4–5 weeks. We will share the second set of dates as soon as they are provided.

📌 Outage Schedule Start:
Saturday, May 30 at 11:30 PM
End: Sunday, May 31 at 7:30 AM

🌧 Rain Date: Start:
Saturday, June 6 at 11:30 PM
End: Sunday, June 7 at 7:30 AM

📬 Customers will receive two notifications:
• Monday 5/18
• Next Monday, 5/25
