The Darien Monuments & Ceremonies Commission will hold a brief ceremony on Saturday, June 13th at 8:30 AM at the Town Hall Circle to celebrate our national flag in the annual Flag Day Ceremony. Eagle Scouts will execute a ceremonial flag-folding ritual, and a new flag will be flown.

Worn US Flags will be collected until 10:30 am to ensure their proper disposal.

About the flag:
A universally recognized symbol of our country. The 13 red and white stripes represent the 13 original colonies. Red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence. The 50 white stars on a blue background represent our 50 states, which signify vigilance, perseverance, and justice. Traditionally displayed only from sunrise to sunset, the flag may be flown at night if it is illuminated. When the flag is lowered, no part of it should touch the ground or any other object.

Last Saturday's community blood drive was a massive success — we set a goal of 20 donors and hit 28! That's up to 84 lives potentially saved. 💙
A huge thank you to every single donor who gave their time and, literally, a part of themselves to help others in need.
Shoutout to the Darien High School HOSA Future Health Professionals for going above and beyond — creating health education materials and supporting donors throughout the event. These students are the future of healthcare, and it shows! 🌟
