After yesterday's flooding the State of Connecticut Departments of Emergency Services and Public Protection and Emergency Management and Homeland Security has activated a CrisisTrack Survey to collect and track damage reports form yesterday's storm:

This survey aims to help state and local emergency management officials identify and understand damages that have occurred during recent natural disaster activity. THIS IS AN INFORMATION GATHERING SURVEY ONLY. The information reported will be used to determine if the State is eligible for any post disaster programs through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and/or the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Please note that by submitting this survey, you are not submitting a claim or requesting individual assistance. Reporting damages to Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is a voluntary activity, IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR REPORTING DAMAGE TO YOUR INSURANCE AGENCY and does not guarantee disaster relief assistance.

What and where should sidewalks be prioritized? What trade-offs is the community willing to make? Darien Human Services is kicking off its Back-to-School Drive. Eligible students will receive Target gift cards to help purchase school supplies. Gift card donations with the receipt (Target preferred, but others are welcome) can be delivered to Darien Human Services, Room 109, in Town Hall.

Students in grades K-12 and college students (proof of enrollment required) may be eligible if their families receive other state or local services. Contact Human Services with questions at 203.656.7329.

Please be advised that prep work will precede paving; raised structures may be present on roadways, and there may be limited access to driveways during paving. Please plan travel accordingly.
