As a reminder, open enrollment for Safety Village of Darien is still available for the next two weeks… so don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to enroll your children into our program❣️The following, highlights our summer session schedule for 2024…

*June 17th - June 21st / 2 Sessions per Day
9:30am-12pm / 1pm-3:30pm
5-7 year old children

*June 24th - June 28th / 2 Sessions per Day
9:30am-12pm / 1pm-3:30pm
5-7 year old children

*July 8th - July 12th / 1 Session per Day
9:30am-12pm
5-7 year old children

*July 8th - July 12th / 1 Session per Day
1pm-3:30pm
8-10 year old children

We have children that come from many surrounding communities each year. Anyone that would be interested in our summer sessions, for their younger children…or to become one of our incredible teen volunteers🫶🏻💕…you may go to our website at www.safetyvillageofdarien.org, or you may also call (630) 968-0777.

In addition, Safety Village of Darien is also looking for volunteers to help support our teachers during our sessions, as well as to also volunteer in other areas…including during our fundraising programs, and in partnership programs with our local police and fire departments. Unfortunately, we have lost some of our treasured volunteers, so we are definitely in need of some new volunteers to join our team❣️If you are interested in volunteering in any particular role as well…you may email us at [email protected], or you may call Kelly at (630) 968-0777.

The 5 to 7 year old classes run for 5 days, 2-1/2 hours per day. The class runs Monday through Friday. Graduation will be held in the evening following the Friday class. Graduation is open to all family members and friends who would like to us. The ceremony is held at the Safety Village site.    ...

I hope that you are all doing well❣️ Now that we are only a few weeks into open enrollment, I’d like to take this incredible opportunity to provide everyone with a reminder, about our summer sessions, for Safety Village 2024, this summer…🤗. At this time, we still do have openings left❣️Especially…if you are interested in enrolling your children into our program, as well as into our Safety Village of Darien family!❣️

As many of you already know, my family founded, and continues to run Safety Village of Darien, after tragically losing my brother, Mark, in a pedestrian / vehicle accident in 1987. Our program has been designed to teach many areas of safety, especially geared towards younger children, usually around 5 to 7 years of age, as well as 8 to 10-year-old children. We have also taught many safety workshops for parents, teens, schools, and for the community as well.

Of course, our program would not be able to successfully run without another incredibly supportive teacher, and friend, (Beth Monaco - We love you❣️). In addition to our parents, teens, SV board members, District 61, the Darien Woodridge Fire Dept, the Darien Police Dept, and many other volunteers…who all volunteer their time to help run and teach our program…and of course, along with our family and friends, who are also always there for us no matter what. There are truly no words to describe how much we appreciate everything that you all do for us, and for our program. We love you all, from the bottom of our hearts❣️You all truly make a difference in the lives of our children that you touch…💝
