A new name and a lasting honor. 🇺🇸

On Saturday, August 22, the Darien VFW officially renamed Post 6933 the Brian R. Bill Memorial Post 6933, honoring Special Warfare Operator Chief Brian R. Bill, DEVGRU, U.S. Navy, killed in action in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011.

Neighbors, veterans, and town leaders gathered at 205 Noroton Avenue for the ceremony and lunch under the tent. Thank you to the Darien VFW for a moving tribute to his service and his sacrifice.

☕️ Our “Coffee with the Candidates” summer series kicks off next week, and this is the first of several stops this summer!

Let us buy you a coffee. Come meet Zach Fleitman, our Republican candidate for the Board of Education, and ask him anything about our schools, the budget, and what he’ll work for on the Board. Zach will also be joined by current Board of Education member and Vice Chair, Greg Grambling, who is also running for re-election in November.

This critical bill, introduced by our own is in committee today and we need your public, written testimony ASAP.

The primary obligation of elected representatives is to provide for the peace and security of the people who they claim to represent. There’s no more deserving population than our children who are innocent, voiceless, and rely on our collective protection within our communities.

We are asking for your help today. It’s time for the legislature to work for its residents, not only its representatives and not for their party politics in Hartford.  Tracy is leading this effort for the betterment of our children, our community and others in CT.
