Cooking for a Lifetime of Cancer Prevention starts this FRIDAY!

Join McIntosh County Extension for a FREE 3-part educational series focused on healthy habits, nutrition, and lifestyle changes that can help lower cancer risks.

Location: Ida Hilton Library
Time: 2–3 p.m.

⭐️September 4th: Special guest apperance from the McIntosh County Health Department. Come learn about local cancer screening options and resources

⭐️September 11th: Join this session and receive a UGA Extension coffee mug!

⭐️September 18th: in addition to class, a mammogram bus will be at the McIntosh County Extension Office. See additional flyer on details for signing up.

🏕️☀️ 2027 4-H SUMMER CAMP SCHEDULE IS HERE! ☀️🏕️

It’s never too early to start planning for an unforgettable summer! 💚 We’re excited to announce the 2027 Georgia 4-H Summer Camp schedule! 🎉

From hiking, swimming, canoeing, archery, and zip lines to whitewater rafting, marine science, beach adventures, and EXTREME camping, there’s a camp experience for everyone! 🌊🏹🛶🔥🐢

And we’re especially excited for our Cloverleaf campers! 💛 For the second year in a row, McIntosh County 4-H is giving our youngest campers a brand-new opportunity - this time, they’ll be heading to Fortson 4-H Center for the very first time! 🎉🏕️ We can’t wait for them to experience all that Fortson has to offer and make some new camp memories!

💙 Junior Adventure Quest | Grades 7–8 | June 7–11
💛 Wilderness Challenge | Grades 7–8 | July 5–9

💙 Senior Extreme Camp | Grades 9–12 | June 7–11 OR June 14–18

Stock up on fresh fall produce while supporting McIntosh County 4-H! 💚 Proceeds from this fundraiser help provide student scholarships and reduce event fees, making it easier for more kids to participate in 4-H programs and experiences.

💚 Want your purchase to support a specific 4-H student? You can credit your order to an individual student or choose to support our general 4-H fund at checkout.

📱 All orders must be placed online. Don’t have internet access or need a little help placing your order? No problem! Come by the 4-H Office, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Join our FACS Agent at the Darien GA Lions Club on Wednesday, August 19, from 4:30–6:00 PM for an informative Kimchi Making Workshop!

Discover the history of kimchi, learn about the fermentation process, explore safe fermentation practices, and enjoy a hands-on demonstration of how to make this traditional fermented dish.

This FREE workshop includes a take-home kit so every participant can make their own kimchi at home!
