Tonight members from Monroeville Fire Company participated in an Extrication drill with us. Tonight’s drill gave the members the opportunity to practice on real life scenarios.

The officers and members regret to announce the passing of Life member Richard Blum. He joined the company in 1971. He was a life long member of the company for 55 years. He held the offices of President and Secretary. Richard will be missed by all who knew him.

Today we welcomed a new addition to the Daretown Fire Company – our new 1989 Peterbilt tractor-drawn tanker.

First and foremost, this purchase would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community. From our Beef & Beer fundraisers to our annual Golf Tournament, fund drive, raffles, and the many other ways you show up for us, we are truly grateful. Your support directly helps us put the tools in place to protect our township.

Over the past several years, many dams across New Jersey have been removed or shut down. We’ve felt that impact here locally as well. When those dams disappear, so does critical access to water that firefighters rely on to fight fires effectively and safely. In a township like ours with no fire hydrants, that challenge becomes even more significant.

As a department, we’ve been working hard to adapt to these changes and strengthen our ability to protect the community. One of the most effective steps we could take was adding a large-capacity tanker like this to our fleet.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the great people at Howell Township Fire District 5 and Freewood Acres Fire Company for their help and support in making this possible. We are honored to continue the tradition of this truck serving the people of New Jersey, just as it has for decades in your community.

🚦 In case you missed it!

The new traffic light at Route 77 and Glassboro Road is officially live as of today.

We want to thank all the state and local partners who helped make this long-awaited safety improvement a reality!

Please be patient and pay extra close attention while everyone gets used to the new traffic flow. A little caution goes a long way in keeping our community safe.
