Flight & Space is officially underway!
During the first couple of weeks, students jumped right into the engineering design process with an Instant Design Challenge! Their task was to design a paper airplane that could successfully land on a target. Students completed three flight trials, making modifications along the way to improve their designs based on what they observed.
From there, we moved into the science behind flight by learning about Newton’s Three Laws of Motion and the Four Forces of Flight: lift, weight, thrust, and drag.
It has been a great start to Flight & Space, with plenty of designing, testing, problem-solving, and of course, flying! ✈️🚀
