Big thanks to our fabulous PTO and our wonderful volunteers (not all pictured here, but all VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!) for making today’s duty-free lunch for teachers event possible! Today, our faculty and staff enjoyed our first fun & fellowship snack day of the year, and it was fun to share a few moments together with some tasty treats. We are so proud of all the hard work our students and our staff have been putting in since the start of the school year. And today, DMS had the chance to celebrate our top achievers in the beginning-of-the-year IXL Flex Benchmark testing! 

Please join us in congratulating:

8th graders: Lucas A., Jensyn C. Gavin R., and Ava S. and 7th graders: Frances D., Ava O., Noe R., and Denise S., who each earned a certificate and a sweet treat for their achievement in Math.

8th graders: Evan B., Brooklyn D., Sebastian G., Evelyn J., and Ava S., and 7th graders: Aaron B., Colton S., and Denise S., who each earned a certificate and a sweet treat for their achievement in English Language Arts.

And let’s give another cheer for 8th grader Ava S. and 7th grader Denise S., who each earned the top spot in both ELA & Math for their grade levels.

Let’s keep the learning going, Trojans!

DMS officially kicked off the September IXL leaderboard challenges for all students in grades 7 and 8 in both Math and ELA today, so watch for more fun and more recognitions celebrating the growth and progress of all our learners this year!
