Meet Jace! Jace Daniel serves as the Daphne Tennis & Pickleball Complex Facility Coordinator and has been with the City of Daphne for just over a year. Originally from Mobile, Jace and his wife moved to Daphne to start their family, and he was excited to find an opportunity that combined his passion for sports with the chance to serve his new community.
As the Tennis & Pickleball Facility Coordinator, Jace stays busy scheduling tournaments, tennis and pickleball leagues, park events, and coordinating clinics, while also helping players find programs that best fit their interests and skill levels. In a world often divided by tennis and pickleball enthusiasts, he makes sure that both communities feel welcome to the Daphne Tennis & Pickleball Complex and have opportunities to enjoy the sports they love. One of Jace’s favorite things about working for the City of Daphne is seeing how much the city invests in its residents. He enjoys introducing people to tennis and pickleball and watching them make the most of the city’s recreational facilities. For Jace, the most rewarding part of his job is knowing that his work helps bring people together.
Outside of work, Jace loves to play beach, indoor, and grass volleyball. Volleyball holds a special place in the Daniel family—it’s how he met his wife! Jace is also a big coffee lover who enjoys trying new coffee orders wherever he goes. Another favorite is boiled peanuts, a tradition that started with his grandfather making them before Alabama football games and continues with the family today.
Jace enjoys getting to know the citizens of Daphne, so if you find yourself at the Daphne Tennis & Pickleball Complex or W.O. Lott Park, be sure to stop by and say hello! Thank you to Jace and the entire Daphne Sports & Recreation team for helping make our tennis and pickleball facilities such a valuable part of our community.
