The Good Samaritan Mission is a faith-based organization created to meet the needs of the economically disadvantaged individuals in Montour County and the Danville Area School District. The needs are varied – clothing, furniture and financial.

🚨 WEEKEND MEAL PROVIDERS NEEDED 🚨

Our community needs your help.

Residents who were displaced from the Danville Suites are currently staying at the Montour County Emergency Shelter.

✅ We're asking individuals, churches, civic groups, businesses, or organizations to provide weekend meals on Saturday, Sunday or Monday for 5pm. Please call 570-594-7793 to sign up for a meal.

Providing a meal is a simple but meaningful way to show compassion and support to our neighbors during a challenging time.

We would greatly appreciate it if your group could also stay and serve the meal. A warm smile, a kind word, and a shared meal can make a tremendous difference.

These are our neighbors. Many have experienced difficult circumstances and are working to find stability. Right now, they need a community willing to come alongside them.

We had a wonderful time attending Family Night at the Danville High School tonight 💜🧡

Good Sam was grateful for the opportunity to be part of an event focused on mental health awareness, family support, and community connection. It was great meeting so many families agencies and businesses sharing information about our mission, and reminding others that support and resources are available right here in our community.

Thank you to the Danville School District for inviting us to participate in such an important event and for helping bring awareness to the importance of mental health for children and families.

Together, we can continue building a stronger, healthier community for everyone. 🥰

Today we were blessed to welcome 9 volunteers from LCBC Church through their Impact PA outreach event to serve at The Good Samaritan Mission! Their willingness to give their time, energy, and hearts to our ministry made a meaningful impact on the lives we serve in our community.
