My name is Sabrina Leonard and I will be teaching Kindergarten this upcoming school year. I grew up in Fillmore, IN. I am a 2026 graduate from Manchester University where I studied Elementary Education with a specialization in Mild Intervention. While at Manchester, I participated in softball, cheerleading, and FCA. When I am not teaching I enjoy crocheting, baking, and hiking. Welcome to DCSC, Emily Metz!!

Hi! My name is Emily Metz and I will be a 4th grade teacher at South Elementary School next year. I will be teaching Reading and Writing. I grew up in Virginia, but have lived all over the world as a military wife. My family is moving to Indiana this July and we are so excited for our new adventure there. I have a husband, a son who will be a junior in high school this year, a daughter who will be in 8th grade, and a dog named Georgia. I graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I have taught 5th grade for 6 years, 1st grade for 1 year, and preschool for 3 years. I love to read and bake. This year I am most looking forward to discovering what Indiana is like as a place to live. I cannot wait to find out all of the best recommendations from my students!

Please help us welcome Jennifer Wenning to our Warrior Team!

I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Danville Community High School team this year as a Math teacher! Originally from Columbus, Indiana, I earned my master's degree in education from Indiana University, and this upcoming school year will mark my tenth year in education. My household includes my wonderful partner, Nathan, and our son, Liam, who is heading into his sophomore year at Indiana State University. When I am not in the classroom, I love spending time outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, and kayaking. I also enjoy gardening, catching live music performances, and spending my fall weekends watching football. This year, I am most looking forward to helping my students discover real-world connections with math, building a welcoming community in my math classroom and getting to know the fantastic families, and staff here in Danville. It is going to be a great year!

🌟💙 Good Luck, Brinley! 💙🌟

At the June Board of School Trustees meeting, Brinley Tennery shared a practice presentation of the FFA Creed as she prepares to compete at the Indiana FFA State Convention later this month.

Brinley did an outstanding job, demonstrating confidence, poise, and genuine emotion as she delivered the creed in front of both the Board and a room full of attendees. Her hard work, preparation, and passion for FFA were evident in every word.

We are proud of the way Brinley represented Danville and wish her the very best as she takes the stage at the state level!

Please help us welcome Kaleb Oldham to the Warrior Team!

I will be working in the Warrior Way program, and also as the new Varsity Boys' basketball coach here at Danville. I grew up in Spencer, IN and am a 2012 graduate of Owen Valley High School. I am married to my beautiful wife Victoria, and we have a 10 month old son named Garren. We are also proud parents of a 4 year old Shiba Inu named Dodger. I am currently enrolled at Indiana Wesleyan University majoring in secondary education. I come to Danville after spending the past 6 years at Fishers High School, where I was an assistant coach with the basketball program who won the 2024 state championship and 2025 state runner-up titles. Some of my interests and hobbies are that I love to golf, play pickleball, attend other sporting events like football or soccer, and most importantly, spend time with my wife and son. I am looking forward to leading the Danville basketball program to sectional, regional, semi-state and state championships, but also raising my family in this amazing community that has welcomed us with open arms. My family and I are ecstatic to be moving here this summer! Go Warriors!

🏅🌿 Board Recognition: DCHS FFA Wildlife Habitat Team 🌿🏅

At the June Board of School Trustees meeting, we were proud to recognize four outstanding Danville Community High School students for their success in the Indiana FFA Wildlife Habitat Education Program competition!

Congratulations to Ailey Jeffries, Trey Badger, Leah Smither, and Kendall Bourne, who earned 4th Place Overall in the State of Indiana! 👏

A special congratulations also goes to Kendall Bourne, who placed 3rd Overall Individually among competitors from across the state. 🌟

Welcome to the Warrior Team, Kaylyn Harrell!

My name is Kaylyn Harrell and I am thrilled to join the 3rd grade team at South this year! I taught first grade for 9 years and am looking forward to the changes ahead in third! We are so excited to welcome Jolie Link to our staff!

Hello everyone!

I am excited to have joined Danville Middle School as the teacher in the Behavior Support Room. Prior to coming to Danville, I spent 19 years in Warren Township, serving in a variety of educational roles. This year marks my 33rd year in education.

I grew up in Rochester, NY. I played college soccer at St. Bonaventure University, and I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. Later, I obtained my license in Administration and Supervision from Nova Southeastern University. In May 2026, I completed my graduate coursework and added Special Education to my licensure, an accomplishment that reflects my commitment to supporting all learners.

My family is a very important part of my life. My daughter, Madison, graduated from Indiana University in May and will begin the Occupational Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis this fall. My son, Trent, works in insurance sales and will be marrying his fiancée, Ellen, in the fall of 2026. My oldest daughter, Kylie, is a Physician Assistant in Rochester, New York, and she will also be getting married in the fall of 2026.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exercising, boating, and spending time with family. I cherish opportunities to create memories, celebrate milestones, and enjoy time together with the people I love most.

As I begin this new chapter at Danville Middle School, I look forward to getting to know students, families, and staff and building positive relationships that support learning, growth, and success. I am excited for all that this school year will bring. I look forward to getting to know everyone and being a part of the Danville Middle School community!
