Duchess.

Yes, she's still here.

For more than a year, our favorite girl has been waiting for someone to see what we see.

Duchess can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her some time and you'll learn just how special she is. Once you're in with Duchess, you're in for life. She forms deep bonds with her people and loves them with her whole heart.

And if you happen to have a tennis ball? Even better. They're her absolute favorite.

Duchess is looking for a low-traffic, adult-only home where she can be the only pet. We know that's a specific ask. We know it may take longer to find. But we're not giving up on her, because she's worth waiting for.

After more than a year in our care, Duchess is still hoping her person is out there. And we believe they are.

Until then, we'll keep telling her story.

Meet Mercedes!

This beautiful girl recently came to us when her owner was moving and unable to bring her along. Now she is settling in and patiently waiting for her next chapter to begin.

Reportedly a Bengal who came from a breeder, Mercedes has all the energy and curiosity the breed is known for. She loves to climb to the highest spot in the room, race around when the time is right, and jump to all new heights. She will always keep you on your feet! She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people and animals, but once she feels comfortable, her personality really shines.

Mercedes would thrive in a home that understands Bengals and can give her the enrichment, play, and stimulation she loves. She is open to meeting other patient, tolerant pets who will give her the space to settle in at her own pace.

She’s ready for a fresh start and the right family to bring out her very best. Come meet her today!

How is Dakota still here?!

We can’t believe this handsome Malamute is still waiting for a home. Dakota is everything people love about the breed - active, adventurous, and always ready to be your next hiking, walking, or exploring buddy.

Not only is he gorgeous, but he has absolutely rocked offsite events that he’s attended, and is open to meeting kids who are comfortable around large dogs and other pups.

You may not recognize Tyrion these days.

The last time we shared him, he was just a tiny 2-month-old puppy. Now, at 7 months old, this handsome Lab mix has grown into a playful, goofy teenager who is looking for a fresh start.

Tyrion recently returned to our care through no fault of his own, and while his family was heartbroken to say goodbye, they made sure to tell us just how special he is. They said "He is amazing, loves kids, and is very sweet and loving."

Like any young Lab mix, Tyrion is full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life. He loves to play, is eager to learn, and is ready for a family that can help him continue building on the great foundation he already has. In fact, this smart boy already knows several tricks - including ringing a bell when he needs to go outside!

Tyrion has previously lived with both cats and another dog. Because he still has plenty of rambunctious puppy energy, he'd do best with animal friends who don't mind an enthusiastic playmate.

June is Microchip Awareness Month!

Did you know that lost dogs with microchips are reunited with their owners at a rate of over 52%, compared to only 22% for those without a microchip. Microchipped cats are reunited at a rate of 38.5%, compared to only 2% that are not. Microchips are an easy inexpensive way to help keep your pet safe and sound.

In fact, now is the perfect time to consider microchipping. More pets go missing around the Fourth of July than any other time of year. During this period, shelters nationwide will experience a 30-60% increase in lost pets. Now is the time to make a plan and get your pet scheduled.

Did you know that June is National Foster a Pet Month? If you have been considering fostering a shelter pet, now is the perfect time!

Studies have shown that short-term foster stays have several benefits for shelter animals, proving lower stress levels and significantly improving their chance at adoption!

Typically, our foster needs range from kittens that are too young to enter the shelter, stressed pups in need of a getaway, medical cases that can heal in a calm environment, and everything in between. Currently, we are in desperate need for dog fosters while we renovate our dog kennels. The foster commitment would be around a month--Interested dog fosters for our current dog population would ideally be adult active homes where the shelter dog can be the only pet.

**Grover, Kitana, and Johnny Cage are adopted**
We have a FULL cat room with 29 cats; three of which are the most adorable kittens you have ever seen 😍

Meet Grover (6 month old male brown tabby dmh), Kitana (10 week old female brown tabby dmh), and Johnny Cage (10 week old male orange tabby).

Grover is the sweetest boy. He can be nervous of new people at first, but warms up quickly and LOVES belly rubs. Kitana and Johnny Cage are young rambunctious babies who enjoy eating all the food and playing with pipe cleaners.

Everybody is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, flea/tick treated, dewormed, and microchipped-- all that is need is for you to come pick them up 🥰
