Email sent to Senior Class:
Seniors, as you finalize your college decisions, it is nice practice to let other colleges know that you will not be attending there by emailing their admissions office to withdraw your application. You can google to find their email. Also, as we head to the end, you must request a FINAL transcript in Parchment and select HOLD FOR GRADES to the college you plan to attend. ALL colleges require this final transcript that shows your graduation date. They will be sent end of May when transcripts are finalized but you must request it using Parchment! Do not wait as a fee will be required for transcripts after June 2026. And if you plan to play a sport in college, you must complete your NCAA or NAIA portal. Please contact your coach at your college to see what is required by the college. You should take care of that now so you are approved before practices.

If you signed up for dual credit next year, please be aware...
The General Assembly passed the 2026-2028 biennial budget. The budget does not include adequate appropriation amounts to fully fund projected Dual Credit Scholarship disbursements for the upcoming biennium. As a result, KHEAA is adjusting the Dual Credit Scholarship eligibility limits to ensure there are sufficient funds to cover coursework for all students who are enrolled in the upcoming academic year.

The Dual Credit Scholarship eligibility limits are as follows for the 2026-2027 year:

For students in grades 11 & 12 , the scholarship will pay for one (1) General Education dual credit course;
For students in grades 9-12, the scholarship will pay for up to two (2) Career and Technical Education dual credit courses.

Please make sure your dual credit students are aware of this change, and if you have students who have already enrolled in more than one General Education course for the 2026-2027 academic year, please advise them and their families as soon as possible that only one General Education course will be eligible for the scholarship so they can either adjust their schedules or make plans to pay for the additional coursework.
