BOYLE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL 2026 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI REPRESENTATIVE DANIEL ELLIOTT
Daniel Elliott is a Boyle County High School graduate of 2003 and is serving as a Republican member of the Ky House of Representatives from the 54th District since March 2016. He is currently serving as Chair of the House Standing Committee on Judiciary. After high school, Daniel graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bellarmine University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. While attending Law School at the University of Louisville, Daniel served as an Intern for US Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky at the United States Senate in Washington DC and he also clerked for the Commonwealth Attorney’s office. After graduating from University of Louisville Law School in 2011 and passed the Kentucky Bar Exam, Daniel became an attorney. As a lawyer, Daniel Elliott represents children, parents, and individuals without a voice and with nowhere else to turn. His practice areas have included Criminal Defense, Domestic Relations, Estates, General Practice, Personal injury, Workers’ Comp, Administration Law, and Social Security Disability.
Daniel’s successful election victories have been consistent while running unopposed in the Primary and the Ky House of Representatives Elections from 2018 thru 2024. He serves as a member of the Perryville Battlefield Commission, Lake Cumberland Area Development Board of Directors, and Council of State Governments Intergovernmental Affairs Commission.

Most importantly, Representative Daniel Elliott shares his knowledge and expertise by speaking at numerous events, clubs, and groundbreaking ceremonies. He works hard to secure grants and funding for the 54th District which includes Boyle County and Casey County. He speaks often at high schools and colleges, serves on legislative panels across the state. He also a volunteers at the Forkland Festival and enjoys watching The Boyle County Rebel Football games.
Former Superintendent Mike LaFavers shares Daniel’s service to Boyle County Schools is particularly deserving of recognition. He was instrumental in getting the nickel tax equalized for the school district and in helping secure $13 million in urgent needs funding. Those funds contributed to the construction of the new middle school and will have a lasting impact on students and families in our community. Mr. LaFavers continues to say Daniel returned to our community after acquiring a law degree and devoted himself to public service. As an educator there are a few things more rewarding than watching a student grow into an adult who makes a meaningful contribution to the community.
