The Brown Township Zoning Appeals Board will conduct a Variance and Conditional Use Hearings on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the Township House. The first hearing, at 7:00pm is a variance request for Emery Miller, 19261 Danville-Jelloway Rd, Danville, Ohio 43014. The second hearing, at 7:30pm is for Edward Miller (Eagle Custom Truss), 22501 College Hill Rd, Danville, Ohio 4314. Public Notice

Sealed bids for Brown Township Roadway Improvements 2025 will be received by the Township Fiscal Officer, at 24265 Snively Road, Danville, Ohio 43014 located at Brown Township meeting hall until 7:30pm local time, Date: June 11th, 2025, at which time the bids received will be opened and read aloud.
Bids shall be sealed and marked on the outside of the envelope as a bid for the Brown Township Roadway Improvements 2025 and mailed to 23550 Danville Amity Road, Danville, Ohio 43014 or delivered to 24265 Snively Road, Danville, Ohio 43014.
Project Description: This project consists of roadway resurfacing on Township roads in Knox County, Ohio. Surface treatments may include hot mix asphalt surface courses, hot mix asphalt leveling courses and chip seal applications as indicated in the plans, drawing and specifications.
Plans, specifications and bid forms may be obtained at 23550 Danville Amity Road, Danville, Ohio 43014 or email: [email protected]. Due to limited office hours, please call 740-501-5819 to schedule a time for pickup of the bid package and delivery of the bid. Copies of the plans and specifications are available for viewing at the location cited above.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid. Said guaranty may be in the form of a bid bond, bid guaranty and contract bond, a certified check or cashier’s check or a letter of credit. Bid guarantees must meet the requirements of section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, except as modified herein.
Upon awarding of the contract, the contractor shall provide a performance bond in the full amount of the bid. Said bond shall be in the name of Brown Township Trustees. Said bidder shall enter into a contract with the Board of Township Trustees within fifteen (15) working days from the date of the award. Said bond shall remain in effect until the work has been accepted in writing.
The successful bidder shall comply with the requirements of the Ohio Department of Commerce Wage and Hour Division and Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code.
All Contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972 and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
The Township Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.
