Health & Human Services

Participants also work on Capstone projects that focus on a current issues and attend an opening retreat to enhance their understanding of people and leadership styles. Welcome Renee Tomlinson | LHC Class of 2026 šŸ”„

Renee Tomlinson serves as the Director of the Hendricks County 911 Center, bringing over two decades of experience to her role after beginning her career as a police dispatcher in 2001. Her depth of knowledge and leadership in public safety make her an incredible asset to our community.

A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Psychology/Sociology, Renee has earned multiple distinguished certifications, including Center Manager, Registered Public-Safety Leader, Certified Public-Safety Executive, and Emergency Number Professional. She is a passionate advocate for protecting others and elevating the recognition of those who serve in emergency response.

Outside of work, Renee is grounded in what matters most—family. She and her high school sweetheart recently celebrated 24 years of marriage and are raising four amazing children. Whether it’s church, football, or family outings, they value time together—and their chocolate lab, Seven (the official seventh family member!), is always part of the fun.

Please join us in welcoming Renee to the Leadership Hendricks County family. We’re excited to see the impact she will make as she helps us continue Fueling the Future, Inspiring Change.

Today is Light It Up Blue for World Autism Awareness Day šŸ’™
In honor of my daughter Abbi, we celebrated in our blue shirts and ended the night with a movie—Hopper (highly recommend!). One line from the film stuck with me:
ā€œI just want to work with people who care.ā€
Without giving away the ending, the movie was a powerful reminder that our actions often speak louder than our words.
That message hits especially close to home for me. My daughter doesn’t communicate with words—but she communicates in so many other meaningful ways. And it’s through actions—patience, kindness, understanding, and love—that we truly connect.
So here’s my challenge to LHC alumni: don’t just say you care—show it. Find one way today to lead with action and make someone feel seen, valued, and understood. šŸ’™

Every parent has heard it…
ā€œHOW much farther?ā€ šŸ˜…
And how many of us have answered…
ā€œ5 minutes closer than the last time you asked!ā€

Spring break is here, and while we’re all racing to get somewhere… maybe this is your reminder to enjoy the journey along the way.

Because let’s be honest — sometimes the BEST parts of the trip aren’t the destination…
they’re the random stops:

✨ Buc-ee’s snack run
✨ Wally’s adventure
✨ Redmond’s candy store stop šŸ
✨ That one gas station with $1 SpongeBob t-shirts
✨ Or yes… even the oddly mesmerizing mopping robot at QT

So I’m curious…
What’s YOUR must-stop on a road trip?
