𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗖 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮.

Join the Southern Piedmont Technology Council (SPTC) for 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗖, an interactive look at how regional robotics programs help students develop skills in engineering, programming, design, teamwork, and leadership.

The STAGS Robotics Team received SPTC’s 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 and includes public school and homeschool students from across the region.

Attendees will see a robot demonstration, visit interactive stations, speak with students and WPHEC educators, and have an opportunity to drive the STAGS robot. The program will also highlight WPHEC’s EduTech Library, GO TEC partnership, and regional STEM resources.

The Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce is developing its 2027 Legislative Agenda, and we are inviting businesses and business leaders throughout the region—both Chamber members and non-members—to share their priorities.

As a business owner, leader, or professional in our region, you understand firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing our business community. Your input will help identify the issues that deserve attention and advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels.

The Chamber’s Legislative Agenda serves as a roadmap for our advocacy efforts and gives our region’s business community a unified voice when communicating with policymakers. Workforce, economic development, childcare, housing, taxes, regulations, infrastructure, and other factors impacting the business climate all play an important role in our region’s economic success.

Chatham Hall Launches 2026 Fall Athletics Season

Chatham, Va. — September 2026 — The fall season is underway at Chatham Hall, and the school is inviting the community to come cheer on its student-athletes throughout the 2026 season.

With competition in volleyball, tennis, cross country, and riding, Chatham Hall’s fall athletics schedule offers numerous opportunities to experience the energy, determination, and school spirit that define Turtle athletics. All home games and IEA horse shows are open to the public, and community members are warmly invited to attend and support the athletes.

From the first volleyball serves and tennis matches of September to Senior Night in October and three IEA horse shows throughout the season, fall athletics provide opportunities for students to challenge themselves, compete as teammates, and build connections across the Chatham Hall community.

“Athletics at Chatham Hall are about so much more than competition,” said Cornelius Snead, Athletic Director at Chatham Hall. “They give our students opportunities to challenge themselves, support one another, learn from both wins and losses, and discover what they are capable of. We are excited to welcome our families and the broader community to campus this fall to cheer them on.”

🍻 A Toast Through Time: 25 Years in One Can!

Last night, we officially unveiled “A Toast Through Time,” our commemorative brew created with 2 Witches Winery & Brewing Co. in celebration of the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce’s 25th Anniversary!

But this isn’t just a b**r can. It’s a time capsule.

The commemorative label, designed by Crystal Hairston, owner of Socialize Me, LLC, was created to tell the story of the Chamber and our region over the past 25 years. The can appears to have cracked open, revealing pieces of our past and present, each intentionally chosen to represent the people, industries, progress, and community that have shaped Danville and Pittsylvania County.

Look closely and you’ll find everything from a flip phone, fax machine, and analog computer to a smartphone and laptop; a tractor and to***co leaf honoring our agricultural roots; the beloved Danville trolley; Caesars Virginia representing a new chapter in our region’s growth; and scissors symbolizing the countless ribbon cuttings that have celebrated new businesses, expansions, and investments throughout our community.

There are even a few special details tucked into the design, including a tribute to former Chamber President & CEO Laurie S. Moran, whose leadership left a lasting impact on our Chamber and business community. 💙

We are grateful to Socialize Me, LLC for transforming 25 years of memories, milestones, and progress into a design that gives us so much to discover and celebrate.
