District 118 Registration Update

Registration is available online at Danville118.org.

If you have already submitted a returning student registration, please do not submit another one. A recent Skyward update caused the returning‑student registration tile to reappear, but duplicate submissions are not needed.

To check the status of your student’s registration in Skyward Family Access:

1. Go to Menu
2. Select Online Form
3. Choose My Online Forms History
4. 2027 Returning Student Enrollment

Any registrations still marked as pending will be processed by school secretaries once they return from summer break.

Danville School District 118 Centralized Registration is almost here!

This is for both NEW & RETURNING students.

Our team will be available to assist families through the registration process and answer questions to help ensure students are ready for a successful start to the 2026-2027 school year.

What an amazing last full week of school. At KDBA we had-
**a middle school dance
**a celebration of our seniors
**an 8th grade promotion and honors assembly
**Lemonade stands- a business and art class collaboration
**Donuts for students with AMAZING attendance, and,
**A plant sale
All of this in addition to our normally engaging lessons! We hope all of the students are feeling the love after this week together.

Here are your announcements as we head into the last week of school:
1. DHS graduation is tomorrow at 1:00 PM at the Palmer Arena. There is a graphic below with details. Most importantly, you must have a ticket and no admittance after 1:30 PM-- Don't be late!
2. The schedule for next week is as follows (excluding seniors-- you are done!)
a. Monday- no school
b. Tuesday- normal school day
c. Wednesday- normal school day
d. Thursday- student half day 11:15 dismissal
e. Friday- student half day 11:15 dismissal- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

4. Parents, if you have questions or concerns about your child's placement for next year, please contact the school at 217-477-0300.

Parents of in-person 8th grade students who are promoting. As a reminder, we will be having a celebration tomorrow at KDBA. Please arrive at 1:15. The celebration begins at 1:45.
Some important reminders:
*Guests will need to go through the security process to enter.
*Balloons of any kind are not allowed on school grounds.
*Late arrivals may not be allowed to attend, please be prompt.

We are down to the last days of school and what a great week we had! Our lunch of the patio was such a success (as seen below)!! Thank you to all of the parents who attended, we are hoping to plan more events like this next year.

This week were also able to officially celebrate Ms. Harden on her award. She was the first staff to ever earn the Support Staff of the Year Award. We celebrated with a reception and awards ceremony. Congratulations Ms. Harden!!

Announcements and reminders for the week:
1. Registration is still open for returning students. Information on getting that started can be found at https://www.danville118.org/families/registration Please contact the school should you need assistance.
2. There are many important dates coming up. Please make note of those that affect you:
May 20- KDBA High school graduation celebration- this event is only open to high school graduates and their families (details in pictures)
May 22- KDBA 8th grade promotion and awards celebration- this event is only open to 8th grade students being promoted and their families (details in pictures)
May 23- DHS graduation

May 28- half day attendance- half day staff PD
May 29- half day attendance- last day for students
3. Parents, if you are coming to either of the promotion/graduation ceremonies please note, balloons of any kind are not allowed in the building. Those will need to stay at home or in the car, you will be asked to put them away should you bring them!

Happy Friday KDBA families!

This week we honored our teachers for teacher appreciation week! The staff at KDBA works tirelessly to ensure that every student finds success. We appreciate their work EVERY day at KDBA.

Our IPA award winners were honored at an event at DACC this week, as seen in the picture with Ms. Campbell.

Here are the announcements for the week:
1. Lunch on the patio is next week. Please make sure you have RSVP's to Mr. Watson if you plan to attend. 5/6 grade is Monday, 7th grade Tuesday, 8th grade Wednesday, and high school Thursday.
2. Next week is a full five day school week with an early dismissal on Wednesday.
